Tree New Mexico Staff & Volunteers


Corporate Officers

    Sue Probart, President/Treasurer
    Suzanne Probart, Executive Director of Tree New Mexico, has guided Tree New Mexico on a shoestring budget into a nationally recognized and commended environmental tree planting and education organization. She currently serves as a founding board member of the National Urban and Community Advisory Council, Alliance for Community Trees, the NM Tree Planting Advisory Committee, Holistic Management International, and the Albuquerque Energy Council. Suzanne also helped Navajo agencies and government officials establish Navajo Nation Arbor Day, and assist other communities in earning their Tree City USA designations.

    Patricia Gooch, Vice President/Secretary
    Pat Gooch is a founding member of Tree New Mexico. She also served as the Volunteer and Seedling Program Coordinator for Tree New Mexico for eleven years.


Staff

    Shari Griffin, Financial Director, Tree & Field Coordinator
    Shari has been involved with nonprofit environmental work for over fifteen years. She has been working with TNM since 2004. She continues to focus not only on her fiscal duties as Financial Director with TNM, but also working as the Tree and Field Coordinator. As Tree Coordinator, Shari works with various organizations and communities throughout New Mexico and the Navajo Nation, to make sure they have the trees they need for their planting programs. While performing as Field Coordinator, Shari assists TNM's Executive Director and various partners, to implement successful programs that insure the development of building urban tree canopies, providing public education, and river restoration. Shari is currently finishing her BA in Art Education with an endorsement in science. During the course of her work she developed a personal mission, "To use a variety of media to engage communities about environmental concerns, in hopes of making a connection between humans and the world they live in."
